At the Pleasant Valley Foundation, we have always been aware that social commitment and training in values must hold a primary place in our commitment to the comprehensive education of our students. At PVS, the management not only believes in building successful leaders of tomorrow but leads by example. Our School Leadership Team comprises visionaries whose constant guidance has made our school carve a niche and emerge as a trusted name. The team ensures that the overall culture and diversity of students is managed in the best possible way. As a result, we are able to provide a wholesome learning environment for everyone, enabling them to achieve whatever they wish for their bright future. By focusing on every individual, we help them to explore more about themselves and pave a path for them to attain excellence. To this end, since the beginning we have worked with different NGOs. However, it was in 2006 that the foundations were laid for the founding of the The Pleasant Valley Foundation. Its aim is to involve our entire educational community in doing works for the common good, aimed at favouring the poorest sectors of society, both in India and internationally.

Faculty

The role of the teacher at The Pleasant Valley School is that of a facilitator, a person who will guide the students in the right directions. Most of the teaching faculty at PVS have Masters Degree in their specific area of specialization. We hire teachers based on their previous years of experience. We have experienced teachers teaching various subjects. Interns and Volunteers are given mentors to train them into our methodology of teaching. We invest continuously in training of our teachers through workshops and seminars, both at PVS and outside. The faculty at The Pleasant Valley School broaden the learning experience of every student. They play the role of the facilitator and mentor. Beyond academics, the teachers are involved in various extra and co-curricular activities that are included into the daily routine of the students. Be it on the sports field, the sphere of publications, quizzes or debates, teachers take an active interest and share a healthy rapport with the students. Outings with teachers during inter house competitions, picnics and midterm expeditions strengthen the bonds between students and teachers. Appropriate educational qualifications, relevant experience, and a rigorous interview process are the selection criteria for ours staff body. Teacher training programmes are organized on campus and staff members also sent to attend and gain from various external workshops to ensure that the faculty keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field of education. The school is committed to increasing its teacher development programmes, both academic and non-academic. At The Pleasant Valley School, we value our most invaluable resource – our teachers. They, in turn, not only devise and execute the curriculum, but also generate a passion for learning amongst our students.
