The site of The Pleasant Valley School, chosen by the Founders for its remarkable atmosphere of peace and serenity, is an undulating landscape of hills, valleys surrounded by scattered villages and breathtakingly beautiful, snowcapped western peaks of the Himalayas. Conserving and enhancement of the natural environment remain aspects of the school's core values.

Watching the breathtaking and awe-inspiring sunset with the superb mountain views at The Pleasant Valley School by the whole School every evening is amazing. The amphitheatre called Astachal, the whole school evening gathering, at an altitude of 1,869 metres (6,132 ft) above sea level, captures the spectacular view as the western peaks of the Himalayas, their unmistakable outline is visible silhouetted between light and shadow, get into the darkness in stunning majesty.

These mountains and snowcapped peaks are gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful for one to observe. Imagine that the sun disappearing, behind these massive beauties, slowly and slowly into the little, invisible point changing its colors to yellowish-red and none, bringing the dark into your surroundings and the entire world. The ten minutes of quiet prayer or introspection : wouldn’t it be magical to see that in person every evening with our naked eyes? The timing of the evening prayer congregation at Astachal is usually synced with the sunset time of the season.

This evening prayer congregation of all students, daily habit of doing silent introspection, which takes place at “Astachal” the amphitheater of the school every evening and its nurturing a unique spiritual and emotional bond will remain etched in the consciousness of every student, and this memory survives long after the school years are done and dusted.
